Tropical and temperate seas. Kermadec Islands and northern North Island as far south-east as Waihau Bay, from 0-530m
Notes:
Violet Snail, Marine, Native - Non-endemic, Pelagic, feeds mainly on colonial cnidarians (Physalia, Velella, Porpita)
