Astrobrachion constrictum (Farquhar, 1900) Marine, Lives mutualistically on black coral, such as Antipathella fiordensis Northland East Coast to East Cape, Cook Strait area and Fiordland, sublittoral to 307 metres. Also from Tasman Sea and south-eastern Australia to 540 metres ACF
Astroceras elegans (Bell, 1917) Marine Off North and South Islands, from about 20-700 metres. Also off Tasmania, eastern Australia and New Caledonia ACF
