Marine, Endemic North and South Islands. On tidal flats and off sandy beaches, occasionally to depths of 90 metres ACFE.
Struthiolaria papulosa (Martyn, 1784) (=gigas Sowerby II) Height 105mm, Width 63mm, Large Ostrich Foot. Marine, Endemic North, South and Stewart Island. In shallow water, on sand flats in sheltered to open coasts ACFE.
